Yay done! And just in time. Tomorrow is the last day to enter it in the show.

A couple of big fails, though. I PUT HIS HEAD ON BACKWARDS! Derp. Not a huge deal, but generally, the paint faces IN (meaning you paint on the front of the glass.) For whatever reason, I didn't realize it was backwards until I was done and took this photo.

Second fail, my cat/bird/feather thing did NOT WORK OUT at all. I tried fusing them onto a sheet of clear glass, and the entire thing pretty much melted/exploded in my kiln. I hope it didn't wreck anything. I have to wait until it's cooled down enough to remove it and assess the damage. *sigh*

OH MY GOSH, this is incredible!!!! I can't even begin to fathom how you made this, but I'm so glad you did because it's absolutely beautiful! LOL, I especially love the bees buzzing around Castiel's head, so cute! And his wings are just lovely, they have such wonderful depth and coloring. I also love the background, the pretty blue and the first little gathering of storm clouds in the distance...

Gosh, just... incredible. You're awesome. :DDD

:D Thank you so much!

Now that it's done, I see a bunch of stuff I would have done differently, but the entire process is still a learning experience for me.

I will find out Thursday how it (and the Sam window) did in the show. *fingers crossed!*

That came out incredible (despite head issues.... ha.) I actually really like how you angled the blue in the background, it looks like it really gives it that sense of motion and reinforces castiel's expression.

I hope your kiln is okay!!

Thanks. I thought the angled lines almost looked like rain. I always struggle with where to put the break lines in the background, where it will make the most easy cuts but also not detract from the foreground.

I actually dug around in the drawers in my house to find a protractor, so that the lines were all the same angle! Go me! usually I'm too lazy to bother. :)

Awesome, awesome work.

(Sorry about the follow-up fails--hope nothing's ruined in the kiln!)

Thank you!

Lucky for me, nothing actually got stuck to the bottom of the kiln, so yay! I just had to vacuum out the broken bits of glass. After talking to someone from the glass place, it looks like it was too hot AND I didn't leave enough of a free space around the glass.

Live and learn!

Oh it's marvellous (even with the backwards head!). I love the Castiel-eye blue of the sky and the subtle rainbow colours in his wings.
