Well, I had 2 months off, that should be enough, right? :D

I don't wear much make up. It's not that I don't need to, it is a direct result of my laziness. Cannot. Bother. A bit of lipstick, but that's usually it. A couple of years ago I heard about eyelash extensions, and I thought, wow! That would be perfect!

I used to have pretty good lashes (when wearing mascara), but they just don't hold up well as you age, and since I'm blonde, they don't show up at all when I'm make up free. Lash extensions are my one 'beauty splurge'. Fast forward a couple of years, and I need to decide wtf to do with my life, and I decide to take an extension course. I was previously (1000 years ago) a licensed hairdresser, so I went down to the apprenticeship board, got re-instated and now I can do lashes!

I'm not certified yet, but I should be in a month or two. These are the lashes I did this afternoon. (they are my 5th ones that I've done) I have to do 10 really good before and afters to get certified.

To take things one step further, I decided to open a 'mobile' lash unit. Instead of you schlepping to a salon to get them done, I come to your house! Hubby and I bought an older motorhome that we plan to fix up and this will be my mobile salon. I haven't officially started a business yet, but this is the plan. I will name it WANDERING EYE mobile lash extensions.

Now I need a big set of goggly eyes to put on the camper! :D

Well, I haven't even officially put out my 'shingle' and I'm doing four people today! The nice thing is, once they try it once, they're sort of on the hook to keep doing it. The lash extensions are 'permanent', meaning they will not fall off of the lashes, but the lashes themselves shed daily, just like your head hair, so you need to get your extensions 'filled' every two to three weeks, to make up for the lashes that you've shed.

A fill is cheaper, but also takes less time for me to do.

Crikey, I had no idea... Seems like a lot of bother, but then I don't even wear make up let alone mess about with my eyebrows and suchlike.

That's kind of the point! ;) You can LOOK like you're wearing make up (or just have amazing natural lashes) without the fuss. An hour, every two or three weeks is not much, compared to the 20 min to an hour a day that some people spend doing make up.

I just don't care enough about my looks to work that hard.

30 years ago …. maybe!

Nope, even 30 years ago I wouldn't have bothered. Now removing hair is a whole other ball game...I spend far too much time and money on that! LOL
