How many do you think I should have? And how much do you guys think I should charge for them? I've never been to a proper comic con. Just the shitty one here in Winnipeg.
Definitely factor in your time and other expenses (travel, hiring a booth) when deciding on a price for your art. Other than that, I really don't know. I've never been to a comic con. If it's a big con, I'd make sure you have lots.
Love the storm trooper with the blood marks - very iconic. Also the Mulder and Scully ones.
There's something weird going on with Jim Kirk's right eye, isn't there?
Yeah, Kirk's eye is … odd. I've fixed it. When you're right in the thick of it, it really just looks like blobs of colour and it's hard to pinpoint wtf. As soon as I posted the photo I saw it too.
I was charging $40 -$45 for them here, and our city is small and infamous for being full of cheapskates. I know prints can go for around the same amount at comic cons, and these are all original and hand made, so it should be more. I guess I'll just have to take the plunge, and adjust the price accordingly. Up it, if they fly off the shelves, or lower it if they don't!
They look fabulous to me. Good luck! Re: pricing. No idea. The little Comic-Con we have here in my midwest city is prolly no judge, although I remember a guy selling MCU art for like 20 - 25? That's my recollection, anyway. Definitely factor in your costs and time and then...double it? *shrugs*
I was selling them for $40-45 here, and our city is known for being cheap. (and small) I had a fellow tell me I could probably double that for a larger city convention. I dunno. I guess I'll have to see.
'Someone' could make either the cutouts or sell the jars done like this. Though miniature cutouts are probably like miniature quilts, more work than doing their larger version.
Thanks. Those jars are cute! Single layer cuts are definitely easier than multi layer ones, but yeah .. smaller and more fiddly can be very time consuming!
Love them all; there is something going on with Kirk's right eye, though--or is there supposed to be? If so, never mind me. Pricing, I'd agree with the above poster(s)--baseline of $10-$15, then figure in labor, materials, etc.? hiiii^^

Pricing - I have no idea. Are you selling them framed? How long does each one take and what's the cost of materials?

Thanks!
