The colours look better in real life, more teals and pinks, but hey, the camera is old!

Ha! That's very kind of you to say, but I get better, then I get worse for a couple of drawings, then I'm about the same, THEN I get better, and alas, the cycle begins again. I just don't bother to post the really crappy stuff! Seriously, every time I pick up a pencil, it's a bit of a crap shoot.

Oooh, I like this a lot. The colors are so rich and lovely and the details in the hair and beard are beautifully done. Very very nice!

Thank you! Chalk pastel is VERY hard to get details in (the sticks are big and square) so to compensate, I draw VERY BIG! And I also use a skinny charcoal pencil for the little details.

Hee! To be honest, I get giddy EVERYTIME anything looks halfway good! I'm still amazed that I can draw at all. And now, thanks to you, it's in colour! I use exactly the same technique that you posted in your crayon tutorial!
