Okay, despite some fantastic advice....I went ahead and kept drawing anyway! I really will try to do a 'minimal' drawing like you suggested, Elica8. I think that's a great idea!
I'm glad you decided to do your own thing, because this looks magnificent. :D
I like the middle step, actually, but the final step makes him look more polished off and less 'dramatic hero', and that fits his personality much better.
*shakes head* I've been drawing for twenty years. You? Months. The mind absolutely boggles.
*sigh* thanks. I really liked your drawing that you put in comments before. The problem is---that's artistic! You actually had to make choices on what you were going to draw, and not going to draw.
I'm a bit limited in that I tend to draw what I see. I pretty much need a reference to draw a stick man. i DO think it would be a fantastic excersize for me though. I don't often just 'sketch'. It's more all or nothing.
I really like 'half-finished' art, like the one you posted, where you can really see HOW something was made, so it looks like a drawing, instead of trying to look like a photograph.
I"ll stretch my poor brain and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the idea!
