I've found a website, with lots of lovely photos that will come in handy for *cough* reference shots *cough*, but when I 'right click' on something to 'save' it, a little window pops up and says that it's property of ...blablabla.

I *know* there's a way to save a copy of the entire screen, but I dunno how.

*pleads*

My (PC as opposed to Mac) keyboard has a "prnt scrn" (print screen) button on the top row. It's generally next to or above the function buttons. I then paste it into Photoshop Elements and crop the stuff I don't want.

Oh, if you hit the button it should capture whatever's on the screen which then gets pasted. But it doesn't work for certain dvd players because of what layer the image is considered to be on. Like when you use the button one's cursor and arrow pointer don't show up because they're on a different layer.

hmm...I have a 'PrtSc' button, but it also says "sys req" on it. I tried pressing it, but nothing happened.

I have a PC too, btw.

Yeah, nothing will appear to happen. It copies what's on your screen to your clipboard. You have to paste it into a graphics program like Paint, Gimp, Photoshop, or what have you. Then you can do whatever you like with it.

Just open up Paint or whatever you like to use, create a new document and then control-v or right mouse click and paste.

Oh, and "sys req" requires you to hold down the function button or somesuch at the same time, so don't worry about it.

yay! Yes! It seems to work. Unfortunately, that website won't come back up, *shakes fist at it* but I tried it elsewhere and it worked! THANK YOU! *snogs you madly*
