My Halloween costume

Well, one of my kids refused to dress up, and the other one refused to let me take a photo of him. *slaps them*

So....since its practically my favourite holiday, I dress up at work.

Needless to say, nobody under 20 knew who the hell I was supposed to be. I had to go to Home Depot and buy some shelves part-way through the day, and I think that most of the people were thinking I was just part of some odd cult with an penchant for odd hairdo's. *eyeroll*Oh, and I made the whole thing myself!

woot! I wore wings and answered the door with my dog, whom was also wearing wings. Needless to say, I think the only person that noticed I was wearing rings was a little kid's dad.

Ha! Yes, some people just don't 'get' it! I dressed up as Austin Powers one year, and everyone thought I was some weird chick with bad hair. :D

So talented! It looks amazing!

Hee! Thanks! Lucky for me, it was a pretty basic sew-job.

That is piles of adorable!! I love that you made it yourself. And I'm still boggling over the fact that 'Princess Leia' just isn't on the top ten oh costumes for females any longer. I thought that trend would never die, and lo and behold! Thanks a lot, neckless George Lucas.

*hee* You look so tense, all ready to kick some Storm Trooper butt. ;D

yes, I was out to kick some Imperial ass! :D

too bad the new movies sucked so bad. I had really been looking forward to them. *sigh*

That's AWESOME! I went as House.

Ha! Did you post pics?? I don't remotely look like anyone on that show (except maybe Chase, and that would be pretty lame, all by himself!)

Oooh, you have the buns and everything! Awesome!

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2007-11-02 02:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Ya know...I was tempted to just stick two big cinnamon buns to my head, but I fear that no one would have gotten the joke but me!

Heeeee! You look adorable!

Thanks! I must say, I look LIKE CRAP as a brunette! *shudders* I had to draw on my eyebrows to make them show up.

Hey Leia! Your wand looks pretty impressive--no wonder no one bothered you in Home Depot. The expression on your face it the first one is so imperial!

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I wasn't exactly brandishing my light saber there! (although...I was tempted)

[identity profile] verdenia.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
You look AWESOME! :D

I've kinda always wanted to dress up as Leia. Maybe someday when I've grown my hair out enough to have substantial buns... Or maybe, like you said, go with cinnamon buns! I guess I'd have to make them myself to avoid frosting, though... LOL.

I had a great time & hope to post soon. ;D

My hair is pretty short, so I just got a wig and bunnulated it!

Oh, this is amazing. How is it I keep missing your posts? You've blocked me haven't you? ;D

My best friend is a costume designer and she used to make costumes for my daughter every Halloween. Naturally, Katie refused to trick-or-trick or pose for photos and was an all around pain-in-the-ass (like mother, like daughter) during Halloween itself, but played with the costumes endlessly afterwards.

She's 21 btw, and thought you were dressed as a disgruntled bride. Um, yeah.
