Okay, work, kids and out of town guests have slowed the process down to a snail's pace, but I *think* I finally finished the pic! I'll know for sure tomorrow, after a good break from staring at him.

Here, I've blocked in most of his hair, and now I'm sort of deciding where his collar should begin and end.

I've just picked up the 6b (crumbly piece of shit) and now I get to make all the dark stuff even darker. :D

Half a head with the 6b. You can really see the difference between the 4b and 6b in this shot. Of course, I wasn't trying to make his hair super dark before this. Also, the "Batman" angle always adds interest.

TAADAA! I have to take a better picture, you can see the 'shiny' of my pencil strokes on his hair, but at 1am, I'm not about to turn on all of the lights to get a better shot.
