If you are willing to be interviewed (five questions) just comment and say so and I will cheerfully interrogate you. Then you post the answers and the same offer in your journal. My answers are below the cut:
1. did you grow up in the country and always take care of animals, or did you only do that as an adult?
ha! No. I grew up in Toronto, a city girl through and through. I always loved animals, and we had a cat, and the odd hamster, but that was it. I BEGGED for a macaw parrot every single Christmas and birthday (and every other day) but never got it. I got a job in a pet store when I was around 19 and (other than the shitty management) it was a dream come true.
My mother always said; "When you move out, you can have all the animals you want." I never let her forget it! :D
2. You sing with a band, right? I know you are self-taught as a visual artist--did you ever have voice lessons?
I don't sing with a band anymore. I did for years, (and my husband was in my last band, as the keyboard player) but kids, and old age and NEEDING ENOUGH MONEY TO EAT were all factors in us quitting. I was mostly self taught, and obviously, years of singing 6 nights/week, 3 sets/night you will either get better or never get work. I did take some lessons here and there, and I'm sure they helped too. (I have taken a few art lessons too, but they were really more of a professional critique of my work) and they were invaluable.
3. Are you a good cook? What is your signature dish that people who come to your house remember? (Answer the latter half even if the answer to the first half of the question is "no." Heh.)
I am a perfectly fine cook, but not a fancy one. My sig dish would probably be spaghetti, which sounds boring, but is delicious. I usually use ground turkey, tons of fresh veggies (green and red peppers, celery, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, garlic) and basalmic vineagar. I tend to cook and eat tomato based mediterranain type dishes. Oh, and you know, Wendys too! :D
4. If you have an mp3 player or iTunes, what are your five most frequently played tracks? If you don't, just guess which five songs you play the most on the stereo.
I am obsessive with my music. I will listen to the same track/s over and over and over, until I am sick of them. Yesterday, it was "Don't feel like Dancin'" by scissor sisters, 'Crazy Bitch' by Buck Cherry and 'Back in Black and Highway to Hell" by AC/DC. After a week of this ,I'll move on to two or three others. I tend to really like Canadian bands for some reason. I don't differentiate, but I'll like a song or album, and then often find out later that they are Canadian. Canadian movies and television SUCK but our music is pretty damn good!
5. What is the weirdest sexual practice you have learned about from fandom? Or, if you didn't learn about it from fandom--who told you about it?
bwahahaha I have learned all SORTS of things from fandom that I desperately wish I could un-learn! The oddest/grossest would probably be things to do with bodily functions that aren't generally involved in 'normal' sex. Really, I find it hard to imagine that vomit is actually a turn on for anyone. Let alone playing with/eating shit. *shudders* I must admit that I was shocked and awed at the number of slashers in the world. I thought I was the only one that thought two guys together was dead sexy. I feel ... validated that I'm not alone in that aspect.

Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay --
1) If Al were Katie's biological father I would have been arrested. Seriously, he would have been 13 or something. My oh-so-very-gay college boyfriend is my daughter's birth father. I met Al when Katie was 10. But I've only ever been married to Al. I was an unwed mother. *gasp*
2) Not sure really, because Snarry is not consistent with all my other fandom OTP's where the characters are usually best friends and the same age. I really should be a Harry/Ron shipper. But Ron is the straightest man alive so I cannot slash him. As for Snape/Harry, well the first HP fic I ever read made Snape into such a sympathetic character that I immediatly fell in love with him. He was actually in a relationship with Remus in the fic, but had a previous failed relationship with Harry. It was just so very sad that I had to go out and find some schmoopy Snarry. Naturally, the next Snarry I read was "If You Are Prepared." Gah! But then I found
Later I read canon (book 5 was already out) and decided that Snape needed to fuck Harry because it would be his ultimate revenge against the Marauders.
3. Yep, though there are a number of drawbacks and I think too many people who shouldn't have the surgery have it done. In fact I just started writing something I plan to post on my one year surgiversary in February. It's quite a bit of tl;dr about my experience with wls. And there will be pictures. Thankfully, I plan to be clothed in all of them.
4. Hm. Probably not. I believe things happen for a reason. Especially really terrible things. And me messing with them, even with the best of intentions (especially with the best of intentions), would likely make things worse. But I do have a few acquaintances I wouldn't mind seeing get snuffed.
5. Actually it doesn't matter to me who Al says I can fuck. I say who I can fuck. And since I'm married to Al, he's the only one on offer. Were I not married and everyone had to do my bidding, I'd probably give Alan Rickman a go (but he'd have to wear the wig and the robes) and several other people I know in RL. Of my OTP's I'd fuck Snape, but not Harry. Both Kirk and Spock, both House and Wilson, both Holmes and Watson, Robin but not Batman, Jim but not Blair, Starsky but not Hutch, Mulder but not Sculley, both Lex and Clark, and both Ennis and Jack. But I'd still prefer to watch them fuck each other.
