I understand, totally, but at least here I know it's a WIP-- I read 22 sodding chapters of The Shadow of His Wings and then they STOPPED. furiousness ensued.

oooh! I hate that too! I read a Harry/Draco fic that was terribly long (but very well written) and when I got to the 'end' I realized that not only was it a WIP, but the last update had been almost a year earlier. grrrrrr
