Crayon Scott Bakula

Mmmmmmm! Man, did I have the wicked thigh sweats for this guy or what???? *sigh* Man, Quantum Leap was cheezy, but I ATE IT WITH A SPOON! A HUGE FANGIRL SPOON!

This was done this morning while I waited for my car at the shop.

[identity profile] accioslash.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Ohh, he was the main reason I watched Enterprise. Loved Quantum Leap, too, though. Um, strictly for the story lines, of course. Love the mouth. Very kissable.

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and I read Playgirl for the articles. Actually, when I googled him this morning to print out a reference pic to bring with me to the shop, there was one of him on the cover of Playgirl.

*runs off to ebay*

:D

I taped the episodes on VHS, and kept lists of all the seasons so I could see if I had them all.

Don't get me started about how the show ended because I will rant for forever.

But yeah, he was so freakin' hot in that show. RAWR.

Did you see him in that weird psychological thriller with Bruce Willis? I don't remember the name but it was sexy.

And he was one of the gay couple who lived down the street from Kevin Spacey's character in American Beauty! *sigh*

I'm sorry -- I forgot to say what a wonderful portrait that is! You've really captured him.

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
Hahaha! Yes! I totally taped them all too! Man I CRIED LIKE A BABY at MIA, where he comforts Al's wife! And Going Home, where he's at the farm, then ends up in Vietnam? *sobs just thinking about it*

I didn't see him in the Bruce Willis film, but you can bet I watched every single episode of Murphy Brown when he was on it. MAN HE'S FREAKIN' HOT! ;lkfj;lskfs;lfk

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
Ooh, you dont have any QL fanfic do you???? *drools*

[identity profile] dementordelta.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
Mmmm...oh yes, QL was a guilty pleasure for me! The artwork captures his charm very well!

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
:D I don't think I have EVER crushed on an actor/character like I did then.

I've probably spent more time fantasizing about Snape, but not in that psycho/stalker fangirl way that peaks in your twenties. :D Mr. Bakula is lucky that I didn't live in L.A. during those years! hee!

I'm too old to have the energy to stalk anyone now!

[identity profile] joanwilder.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
Ooooo, that's wonderful. I loved Quantum Leap, and he's just so purty. As always, you do wonderful haar. (said in my best Daryl Hannah voice.)

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
He IS purty, ain't he?

Crayon hair is the suxors! Skin tones work great, but for some reason, I've not been happy with any of my crayon hairz. Thanks though! Hey, if YOU'RE happy, then I"M happy! <3

[identity profile] teas-me.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
*guh* he's one of those older guys that I absolutely turns me to mush. I remember watching QL with my parents (who are HUGE sci-fi fans). It was weird fangirling over him at such a young age (I think I was like.. uh... 14 or something).

and it's a beautiful piece of art :)

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, I was crushing on Rocky Horror's Frank n Furter at 14, so for you, Scott Bakula was a normal and wholesome crush! :D

Man, I can't even imagine my parents being sci-fi fans. *giggle*

Different generation, obviously! :D

[identity profile] teas-me.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
Frank n Furter definitely has a place in the cockles :), but yeah.. now that I think about it, all my crushes were really vanilla... eh.

My dad is addicted to two channels... Sci-Fi and the Weather Channel. It's embarrassing (in that loving daughterly way)... lol

[identity profile] 1scout.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
Mmmmmmm.....Scott Bakula....mmmmmm....Quantum Leap.....

Yeah. Perfect portrait of him. Now the theme music is in my head! da da da dada.....

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, now the theme music is in MY head too! *g*

*happy sigh*

Thanks hon! <3

[identity profile] talulahk.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
Wow...Scott Bakula. Beautiful portrait - I love the way you *got* his eyes.

I was a Leaper too! I adored the show in college and never missed an ep-I even made my mom tape the show for me when I couldn't (eyeroll)! I am in utter agreement with you on the way the series ended, it's best if I don't talk about how pissed I was. I saw him on Boston Legal a couple of weeks ago - he did a topless scene in boxers.... whoah nelly- yeah.

He is still beyond hot at 53.

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 02:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not a big Star Trek fan, but of course, I watched Enterprise, because he was on it, and man! They had him shirtless in boxers A LOT! *drool*

Funny aside: His first mate's name was Tripp, and I would swoon everytime he said it. I would jump up and down and squee that 'Sam' was saying my name! :D :D :D

[identity profile] redheadsarehot.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
WOO HOO! Thats awesome! Now to draw Al and Ziggy! Hehe j/k

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 02:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Al and Ziggy, or shirtless Sam......yeah ...

[identity profile] ehmaz.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
Yay Quantum Leap! Great show, seksi actor, fantabulous artwork :D

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 02:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! Yeah, I miss the sweet cheesiness of that show. *drools*

[identity profile] euclase.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 10:21 am (UTC)(link)
Awwwww, he's so cute!

(also had the hugest crush, back in the day)

I love it. <3

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Back in the day, I didn't know anyone else who loved the show like I did. Why does it not surprise me that my flist is full of squee for it? ;^D

Thanks hon!

[identity profile] moonflowerkc.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Hello. Just wanted to say that's a great picture and I, too, had a crush on him back in the day. I even brought the cassette tape of the musical he was in, Romance, Romance. Hmmmmmm. I wonder if it's still in my house somewhere.

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-16 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks! He was also in a football movie that I watched about a million times, and I HATE sports! :D

[identity profile] chocolate-frapp.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
this looks great! Al was always my fave character, he was so cool. I even loved the way he dressed. who else have you got good drawings of? (please say house, please say house...)

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-16 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
House? Who's that? *snicker*

Yeah, check out my deviantArt gallery. There's lots of House there. http://tripperfunster.deviantart.com/gallery/#_featured--5

[identity profile] chocolate-frapp.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
these are so damn good... would you consider taking a request?

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe ... :D

What did you have in mind?

[identity profile] chocolate-frapp.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] tripperfunster.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
yes! Someone linked me to that site. *swoon*

I'm quite sure I won't be there, but, *heavy sigh* I would really love to fuck meet him! :D

[identity profile] emmacmf.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 08:17 am (UTC)(link)
Well, it was kind of self-serving of me because I'm on the committee, so it's in my best interest to give the link to anyone who could be remotely interested!

You have to try and meet Scott B, coz he's really the sweetest, kindest, most patient man I've ever met.

And hot. Incredibly hot.Goes without saying, really. ;)

Anyway, try and come, because it's going to be a fab weekend.

[identity profile] verdenia.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
DUDE they have it in syndication!!! The roomies found it awhile ago and we've been watching some.
Last night it was a Animal House-esque episode where he was a "ten year plan" frat guy, dealing with some kids who were Vietnam War protesters. Great ep. :P

Fabulous drawing! I might even have to show it to the roomies. :P
