And just in case you give a shit, (and I'm sure you all do) here's a close up of the cross hatching. I'm still kind of new to it, but we are having quite the love affair.

Date: 2008-05-20 02:23 am (UTC)Offer a tip? Avoid perpendicular crosshatching if you can. It tends to flatten, plus you notice holes and "non perpendiculars" a lot more (it's like trying to draw a perfect circle--better to just make it an obvious oval, you know?). Also, watch for solid blacks. They can flatten a drawing, too.
This is awesome, though. I love how you crosshatch. I love the colors. I love his expression.
