I'm sure this bores you all to tears, but I love seeing other people's WIP, and therefore, you all must suffer through mine.

These are the steps from orange, to light brown to pink and dark brown (together, because pink on it's own didn't actually look any different.)

Now Harry looks like he needs to wash his face. Hopefully, with the addition of red and black, he will look less skanky. Hair always helps finish things off too, of course.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

Quincey: When I'm dead, I'm going to try and move my arms!

Me: WTFBBQ??

He has also very generously offered to let me stay with him in his 'headstone' when I die.

What the hell is wrong with my kid? An obsession with gay porn I could understand, but this obsession with death is just odd.

OMG! I'm loving this and am in utter awe at your ability to do cross-hatching color... I fail at this (then again, I fail at most artistic endeavors that are drawn and not written). The coloring is perfect, their expressions are perfect, the part in Harry's lips is perfect..

I could go on and on... *dies from excessive lurve*

Thank you! <3 The whole ink/crosshatching is new to me, but I'm really loving the process!

Wow, that mouth placement is perfect. Though now that I know where the screen cap came from you might want to butch Harry up a bit. Making him look like Demi Moore could only help with that. ;D

And, um, "artsy-fartsy wench"?

Butch! hhahaha

As for the artsy-fartsy thing ... yeah. I've been meaning to change my 'username' or whatever that tag is for a while. On my home page (and other's, I'm sure,) the HOLYFUCK showed up really huge, and wasn't very work safe, not to mention that my kids are mere months away from learning how to read, so I though I should change it, but honestly didn't know what else to put.

Suggestions are welcome!

My son was also obsessed with death when he was four. Really it was his best daycare pal. They used to play the death game.

I love seeing your artistic process.

They're alive! Although, I hope that Harry looks less and less like Minerva as you go on... I have faith!

He sounds like a normal kid to me. Now, once he's at the age when he can process the permanence of it (around 8 or 9) and still talks this way, well then you might want to worry... For now, no matter what he says or seems to understand, he really doesn't. It's up there with thinking he can put on his underoos and fly off the top of the barn.

Minerva? Really?

Fly off the top of the barn? Really?

Actually, Quincey has been carrying around a blue horse lead, pretending that it's Indiana Jones' whip! *g*

Haha, I used to say the same things when I was a kid. I was always telling my parents that I would try and haunt places after I was dead and that we should have code words so they'd know it was me.

(It's the gay necrophilic porn you should REALLY be worried about)

Drawing is lookin' good! Very lovely play of shadows on their noses. :)

Oh god! It's just a matter of time, really!

As much as I love the internet, I think I might have to lock up all the computers, once they get to that age!!

you draw the most beautiful near-kisses on the planet. Even without hair... yum.

**stares dreamily**

and, as an apprentice fanartist, I watch and learn. I have lots of WIP images, and will post them eventually, when I can catch up with life. I learn from looking over my own process, too.

Yes! Even just looking back on old art can be a great learning experience.

Btw, I haven't sent your art yet. *self flagellates* Don't worry, I will, but I SUCK! Sorry!!

Zack is obsessed with costumes right now. He has two Spiderman, a Superman and a Batman costumes, and is wanting me to find him Hulk, Ironman, Mario, Green Goblin and Venom costumes. My mind is boggling! LOL!
