ahahaha! Oh flist, you never cease to amuse me!
I commented on my last post about a person on dA who repeatedly bemoans the fact that i draw two certain characters as a couple, when to her, they clearly are not. She's never been outright rude or slanderous, but it's odd and amusing that she just so damn STUCK on her POV and cannot see beyond it. Not to mention that these characters are A MAN AND A PLATYPUS.

gestaltrose had to go over and squee about how they OMG ARE SO IN LOVE 11!! Which gave me a big smile.
Then, this girl arrives AGAIN and has to put in her two cents.

I'm faving this mostly for Doof's Love-Stricken Face, not that he's in love with Perry.
I'll be thinking that he's doing this for my OC, Cynthia.

What a snide comment :/ You don't have to like the pairing, but making little comments like this on another's art? Not cool.
GIRL
Man, I didn't mean it that way. It's not like I was saying, "This Pairing Stinks," which I wasn't. Please don't get mad at me.
MALKAVIA:
Well, just be careful with your wording then. Tripp works hard on her art and if this pairing brings her joy, she shouldn't have to feel bad.
Just read over your comments more carefully before posting them.

I know. I'm always careful what I say. I have a few friends who are Perry/Doof Fans, so I know what not to say. I also apologized to her, I hope she will forgive me.
Girl then commented again to me:
I'm sorry, if my first comment offended you in any way. I think your Art is Great, you always draw Doof so cute.

She also pm'd me with basically the apology as above, so I sent her this reply.
I am not angry at you, but i must admit to being both perplexed and amused at your vehemence against a pairing of two ficitonal characters.
You have made a few comments about how you disagree or do not support the pairing AND you have it written in your signature, so yeah, we all get it.
I think that OC's are ridiculous Mary-Sues, but I wouldn't harsh your squee by saying so in comments on your art. Let alone doing it repeatedly. In my head, Perry and Doof fuck like gay little rabbits. I realize that it will never happen on the show, and that's cool. I don't work for the show. I draw for my own enjoyment, and I am lucky that I have a large group of friends that enjoy it with me.
You are welcome to remain one of those friends, but as you have already made your opinion painfully clear, I don't think you need to state it again in any comments on my art.
