So, my Steve/Tony picture that I posted yesterday got a stoopid comment over on dA.

So I go and look at his journal to see if he's like five years old or something, and it mostly features women in ass-enhancing poses like this:


Me: Yes, and all of your gratuitous ass-shots of women are tasteful. You certainly showed me, with your superior works of art!

Him: Even if you have the right of make what you want with your life, keep it to you and your kind, and put a mature content tag on your works, pls!

Me: My kind? Excuse me?
And two people 'almost' kissing does not require a mature tag.
Do you put mature tags on your pics of ladies sticking their butts out?

Him: two people of the same sex almost kissing (or even insinuating kiss) IS still mature for the normal people, child. The rules of DA do not demands mature content tags on art of type I make, but yes, I agree with you some of them needs them... I will provide that.

If you are not lesbian, I'm sorry for say you are. Your style are so meticulous and expressive that only homossexuals would work so tirelessly on that type of scene. (bolding mine)

I'm only express my opinion here about the theme, not the art. I think I have the right, like everyone here, so... I'm huge fan of those guy you pretend to be gays in the scene and I kind feel ofended with that. So I say. Thats it

My final reply: You are certainly allowed to have your opinion. You are also welcome to keep your bigotry to yourself. Hatred against gays (or any minority) is not only illegal, but also against the TOS of deviantArt.

I'm sure these fictional characters would also tell you that they are just fine without your 'help', thank you very much.

I posted this somewhere else, in response to a huge Wankfest that I don't even want to get into again (no, it wasn't about me) but it was about artists using/copying references. I use references, but I don't trace them, but occasionally, I draw closely enough to get results like this.

This is sort of a post about nothing, but I kind of think the drawings look cool when matched up/placed over the original reference. ( Hence this post. )



In case I'm not being clear, this is my art interspersed with the original reference photos. Shit, if nothing else, it makes me realize I need to use WAY more reds when doing skin tones! :D

ETA: In the 'kissing House' one, he's kissing Stacy in the original, and I stuck Wilson in there, so I put that one at a lower opacity so you could see the two(three) of them there.
