So, for my new business (see This post) we bought an old camper that I'm making over.
We named him "Paul" after campy actor Paul Lynde. :D And believe me, it was the same vintage as the actor. 1979. Orange shag carpet. Orange curtains. Orange counter top. Orange stripey wallpaper. And SOOOOO much wood paneling! Yikes.
I really didn't think it would be too hard to do a face lift on him, but UGH! So many drawers and cupboards and nooks and crannies! It was like doing a kitchen AND a bedroom reno in one!
I re-covered the cushions (quite a feat for a non-sewer!) and also replaced the ugly curtains with sheers. The sheers are also kind of ugly, but I honestly couldn't find anything I liked better, and at least their not orange, so we'll call that a win.

I painted all the 'wood' a light cream colour. It only required three coats. *cries*

Replaced the hideous orange striped wallpaper with a nice turquoise flower thang. My very first wallpaper experience. And hopefully my last.

That countertop is still orange, but I plan to remedy that. Probably with paint, since I don't really plan to actually COOK anything here. Even if we do go camping (which would be a first in our 22 years together,) I would probably just cook hot dogs over a fire, or whatever.

It's quite a cute little travelling spa now!
And here's the card I designed: (number blocked because this isn't flocked, and I don't need stooped 'bots calling me about shit. If anyone actually wants my number for any reason, I would happily give it out.)
