I think my ink is improving, but my digital finesse is ... finesse-less. This time I tried using gradients instead of flat colours. (more visible in the non halftone version) but ...Yeah, how people actually make beautiful art on the computer is beyond me.
Maybe I can find a local digital artist who can sit me down and teach this old lady 'bout computers.

Date: 2012-02-20 06:50 pm (UTC)I do use layers (and all the ink is done by hand) but I'm just rarely happy with the results. I guess I just don't find digital art to be as intuitive as traditional. I've had way more luck with brand new mediums, yet continue to be very mediocre digitally.
Oh well, nothing that a TON more practice won't fix. ;)
