Hubby bought me two'draw your own' mugs for xmas, and I've avoided drawing on them until now. TOO MUCH PRESSURE!!
What if they look like something made in summer camp???

White ceramic? pen on black mug, then baked in the oven for 20 min.

Now I only have to stress about the one remaining mug.

Ha, you make it sound like you're sleep-crafting! I know that's not true. I love it that you are bringing Seurat into the 21st century...or maybe he was already brought in the form of pixels. Still. You spoil us with the clever inventiveness of your fan art. I feel incredibly privileged to live through this weird moment in the history of art.

I had to google what Seurat was. ;) Maybe I AM sleep crafting! ;)

I just meant that I am as surprised as anyone when these things actually look good when I'm done.

The pointilist painter with the famous picture of the picnickers by the Seine.

I was thinking that actually Seurat and pixel art were borrowing from a longer tradition of tapestries and beading. I don't know why I'm dignifying the more masculine/high tech sources instead of thinking of medieval tapestry or embroidery.
