Someone just de-friended (un-friended?) me. Um ... I actually didn't even recognize the name, and yet ... I'm still kind of hurt. Y U NO LIEK ME? Now, a lesser person might think that we just didn't share a fandom any more, or they have just moved on or whatever. But an obsessive person like myself will mentally go through my last 1e34958043 posts (yeah, there's an 'e' in there) and try to find something that scared them away.

Actually, ... I don't really have to go back that far, do I? Superglueing a hammer to your dick might just be the one! :D

In other news, I've introduced my son to the joy that is The X Files. (thank you netflix!!) He is totally smitten and I am really enjoying the trip down memory lane.

Speaking of Netflix ... I NEED SEASON THREE OF THE WALKING DEAD. Where are we in real time right now? Like, what season? And how/where/whodoIhavetoblow to get season three? It wasn't for sale in the video store ....

I hope your son gives up after season 4 or 5. Let's be honest. The show went in a bad direction after the movie. ESPECIALLY after season 7. When I was pregnant and on bed rest, I watched ALL NINE SEASONS. AND the movies. God. Help. Us. All. I trooped through the last couple. It's funny, though, you watch the pilot episode and it seems SO freakin old and strange compared to the rest of the series. Even their character personalities seem different. I almost named my daughter 'Dana.' Well, she IS a red headed girl, it would have worked! And oddly enough, Dana is a family name on my husbands side... But only for men. :/

I won't unfriend you. Promise. :)

thanks hon. I pretty much never de-friend anyone unless they admit to being like ... a racist pedophile homophobe or something. And they'd have to be ALL THREE for me to hit the kill switch. ;)

I think some people un-friend for much more trivial reasons, so they don't intend you to feel the way you do! It's also a function of the way LJ works - you can only follow someone by friending them, and when the reason you started following them is no longer there the only option is to un-friend. For example, if I see a fic I like after a rec from someone else, I have to "friend" to make sure I don't miss any other good fics. And then it transpires that the person only writes once in a blue moon and we have absolutely nothing else in common.

It doesn't mean that they don't like you, just that they're different!!
