Someone just de-friended (un-friended?) me. Um ... I actually didn't even recognize the name, and yet ... I'm still kind of hurt. Y U NO LIEK ME? Now, a lesser person might think that we just didn't share a fandom any more, or they have just moved on or whatever. But an obsessive person like myself will mentally go through my last 1e34958043 posts (yeah, there's an 'e' in there) and try to find something that scared them away.

Actually, ... I don't really have to go back that far, do I? Superglueing a hammer to your dick might just be the one! :D

In other news, I've introduced my son to the joy that is The X Files. (thank you netflix!!) He is totally smitten and I am really enjoying the trip down memory lane.

Speaking of Netflix ... I NEED SEASON THREE OF THE WALKING DEAD. Where are we in real time right now? Like, what season? And how/where/whodoIhavetoblow to get season three? It wasn't for sale in the video store ....

Ooh yes that one with Michael McKean was all kinds of awesome, yes. Charles Nelson Reilly...I think that was Jose Chung's From Outer Space. Had Alex Trebek as a man in black?

My two favorites, Paper Hearts is where they go after a serial killer Mulder once tracked down, who cuts out little hearts from the girl's pajamas after he kidnaps/murders them. Mulder starts dreaming about him and thinks he might have killed his sister Samantha. It's a heartbreaking episode, one of Duchovny's best.

Bad Blood guest starred Owen Wilson as a hokey sheriff in a town full of vampires. It had Scully doing those countless autopsies, and was extremely funny.

yeah, I googled those episodes after you listed them. Both are great. WHY DID IT GET SO SHITTY AT THE END? Seriously, it went from totally amazing to very mediocre. *sadface*

To be honest I stopped watching when Mulder was abducted. I only saw maybe a handful of episodes after that (the ones where he finally got closure on Samantha and that damn Moby song played and RIPPED my heart out). And I saw the series finale, which was disappointing, but that was probably also due to the fact that I wasn't up to speed on the mytharc anymore.

I kept watching for quite a while, but yeah ... it never got better.

I did enjoy the movies though. (the first more than the second, but it was pretty good too.)

Our conversation got me very excited to see some of those amazing episodes! I hope my son is old enough to enjoy them properly. At 11, action is more important than clever, ironic writing. :D
