tripperfunsterWell, me and the kids are off to Toronto. My step-dad passed away yesterday.
It wasn't a surprise, he'd been having trouble breathing, and was on oxygen for the past couple of months, but his decline was rather fast, and yesterday just couldn't hold out anymore.
Jack was a super great guy. Even though he came late into our lives, the 9 or so years we spent with him were a gift. He was a grandfather to my kids in a way that my own dad could/would never be, he was kinder to me, and more interested in my life that either of my parents ever were, and he was a better, kinder and more loving husband to my mom that my dad ever was.
You will be missed, Jack. By all of us.
Any Toronto peeps up for a cup of coffee sometime this week?
