I tried a new method of carving this year. Inspiried by Ray Villifane and his amazing creations, I gave it a try.

Welp, it's kind of neat, but it didn't turn out like I'd hoped. On to the next one!
I was going for a Snape face, but the pumpkin was little and round and it was really hard to make a long, dour face. Oddly enough, this kind of looks like an evil (er) version of my dad! :D

Thank you. It was a lot harder than i thought it would be. No, that's not true. I knew it would be hard, but I thought I'd be a lot BETTER at it. ;)

Thinking in 3D is HAAARRRD!

Oh, that is so amazing! It's symmetrical and realistic and everything! I am probably never going to go to that level of carving, because that's moving from two-dee to three-dee and I'm not feeling the confidence for it.

Well, I'm not feeling the confidence either. I tried two more after this one (two sides of one pumpkin) and neither of them were ... good. ;)

but I am a glutton for punishment, so I'm sure there will be others.

TRY EEET!

Thank you. Not nearly as amazing as I'd hoped, but I will try again. (and again and again.)

That is TOTALLY Amazing!

But what I wanna know is, where'd you get a solid pumpkin? Because, ya know, pumpkins are, like, hollow (or at least mine are), and you've got all that lovely carved flesh out of yours.

This is just amazing! I'm lucky to get 2 eyes and a mouth, usually forgetting the nose, LOL!

This is a regular pumpkin, with guts and seeds in the middle. My deepest cuts are riiiight at the edge of breaking through, but not quite.

Juggling. It is something I'd love to do, but have never been able to even remotely do it.

Amazing, simply amazing! Will you be showing him to your dad? I wonder if he'd see the resemblance you do?

Ha, no. I will not be showing him. My parents have absolutely no interest in any of my art. If you can't make a career out of it, what is the point?

It would seem that golfing, bowling and playing cards are acceptable hobbies, but art is not.

When I showed my mother the 'Avengers' bananas I'd made by poking them with pins, her only comment was; "So ... you ruined an entire bunch of bananas?"

Oh, right. Life should really be only about making money. *barfs a little*

Those Avenger-themed bananas were spectacular!
