Run for a mile and a half on the treadmill.

Eat chocolate ice cream (for lunch) and sit infront of the computer.

I'm not sure why the weight isn't coming off. Perhaps I should get my thyroid checked.

As an aside...do shin splints go away on their own, or do I have to stop running for an extended period of time?

In my frequent experience of shin splints, if I jog at a higher speed and/or less frequently, I don't get them as bad. If I do a slow jog, I get them almost immediately (which is why I pretty much can't slow-jog). I have no idea how to make them go away, but I haven't found that stretching helps any.
